2025 Goat Kids, Part One

Greetings! I just thought I would throw a few pictures in here of our newest additions to the goat herd. I wish the indoor pictures were better, but this is what I have.

Expecting kiddos this year: Daisy, Poppy, Bluebelle, and Vinca

By the beginning of April, Poppy was ready to burst!

BIG belly, let those kids out!

We were visiting the barn and checking the cameras often!

On Sunday the 6th, Bluebelle (2 years old) gave birth to her first kid, a single buckling. She did a great job but wasn't sure at first what to do with this wiggly mass she had just passed.

Her mama Belle stepped in and showed her how to lick him off.

"Here, this is what you do, daughter!"

Blue wasn't so sure at first about the nursing part either but is doing just fine now.

Poppy had twins later on that same day. The first one (laying down) is a buckling and the next is a beautiful doeling. We have named her Honeysuckle.

Poppy is a pro at this by now, and such a good mom.

Days have passed and no more kids have arrived. We are waiting on Daisy (no quads this year please!) and Vinca, another 2 year old first timer.

Today the kids got outside for the very first time.

And I finally got a better picture of the twins!

Doesn't Honeysuckle have the cutest wattles?

Thanks for checking out our blog post. I hope to be able to publish Part Two soon! Until then, be well friends!
